About
Mimi is currently the Product Owner of the Engage Mobile app at NCR corporation. This position brings together her various interests in User Experience Design, technology, business strategy and operations.
She was trained as an architect at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and has worked at Neri and Hu in Shanghai, Atelier Bow-Wow in Tokyo, Peter Rose and Partners in Boston, Rizoma Arquitetura in Belo Horizonte, and Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects in Atlanta. Before that, Mimi earned her bachelors degree in Business Administration at Seoul National University. Her background in architectural design led her to digital design at Huge Inc. which then led her to her current position as a Product Owner at a software company.
She loves design because it’s a form of problem solving. Mimi is into that kind of thing. While she doesn’t necessarily believe that Less is More she doesn’t believe in More for More’s sake either. Her philosophy is that clarity is essential which is why a strong concept should always be the backbone of design: It simultaneously provides a guiding light for the design while pushing it forward, leading to innovation.
Mimi likes books, coffee, yoga, and swabbing mealy bugs off her adopted plants with an alcohol dipped q-tip.
